Selectmen approve $3.6M default budget for Hampton Falls

NH HAMPTON FALLS — Hampton Falls Board of Selectmen approves $3.6M default budget accounting for three elections. The board unanimously approved the 2026 Default Budget at $3,617,337, a $22,255 increase driven by three elections this year costing $32,750. Town Clerk Stephanie Grant noted the bottom-line budget can change at the February 4 Deliberative Session, though line items cannot be altered before then.
The board unanimously cut $15,000 from the Conservation Commission budget, redirecting Frying Pan Lane funds to summer interns for trail maintenance and invasive species work. Vice-Chairman Edward B. Beattie praised ELM's road-clearing after a 24-inch snowstorm, and the board discussed ordering additional road salt for storage into 2027 after consuming 420 tons.
