Selectmen approve $155K in warrants and tax abatement

NH HAMPTON FALLS — Board of Selectmen approves routine financial warrants totaling $155,302 and tax abatement for misdirected assessment. Selectman Lou Gargiulo moved approval of an Accounts Payable Warrant ($111,939.46) and Payroll Warrant ($43,363.57) for February 2026, seconded by Vice-Chairman Edward B. Beattie, and approved unanimously.
The board unanimously approved Tax Abatement #891 for 2025 (Map 6, Lot 39-A-11) for $6 plus interest, filed by a resident incorrectly assessed for a deck that did not exist. The Frying Pan Lane Cemetery Trust notified the town its 2026 payment will be $53,404.50, which combined with a $39,117 carryover yields $92,521 available, with $30,000 previously committed to cemetery improvements and conservation summer interns.
