Planning Board moves to ban data centers from town zones

Planning Board · Meeting of June 23, 2026

NH HAMPTON FALLS — Hampton Falls Planning Board recommends prohibiting data centers in industrial zones. Board members agreed that data center facilities do not fit the town's character and recommended adding language to Section 4 of the zoning ordinance explicitly barring them. In separate action, the board directed a letter to the resident at 84 Brown Road regarding unpermitted tree clearing on the Scenic Road property and invited the resident to attend the July Planning Board meeting.

The board also scheduled ordinance review on setback clarification in Section 5.1.3 for its July 28, 2026 meeting.
