Planning Board approves coffee shop expansion with ownership-change requirement
Planning Board · Meeting of March 24, 2026
NH HAMPTON FALLS — Planning Board approves coffee shop expansion with ownership-change safeguard. The Hampton Falls Planning Board unanimously approved a site plan modification for a drive-through coffee shop at 81 Lafayette Road, increasing seating from 10 to 30 and installing a new septic system with 18 parking spaces provided. In a 4-1 vote, the Board required that any future change of business or building ownership must return for site plan review, addressing concerns that franchise operations could increase traffic and alter the Town Common District's character.
The Board also unanimously approved a Unitil scenic road alteration permit for line-clearance maintenance tree work on six town roads, starting mid-May, with conditions protecting stone walls along the scenic corridors.
