Default Budget Must Rise for Three 2026 Elections

NH HAMPTON FALLS — Hampton Falls board recommends raising default budget for three 2026 elections. The Board of Selectmen said the current Default Budget of $3,596,513 must increase to accommodate three mandatory elections instead of one, though the specific dollar increase was not determined at this hearing. The proposed Operating Budget is $3,581,083, a decrease of $29,341 from the prior year.

Capital reserve fund recommendations include $175,000 for Highway Maintenance, $50,000 for Firetruck reserves, $20,000 for Revaluation, and $17,500 for the Government Building Expendable Trust Fund.
