Board seeks cemetery road alternative to preserve burial plots

Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 17, 2026

NH HAMPTON FALLS — Hampton Falls Selectmen question cemetery road plan. The Board of Selectmen directed staff to explore alternatives to a planned road through Oak Lawn Cemetery that would sacrifice 73 burial plots for access purposes, with Cemetery Chairman Wendy Harrington instructed to have local resident Troy Olofson review revised designs. The Board unanimously approved $18,648.50 in core services for Road Agent Russ Hilliard, roadside mowing during the second week of July, and appointment of Fiona Coughlin to the Recreation Commission.

The Board authorized Town Administrator Andria Hansen to solicit competitive bids for an IT systems overhaul, as the town currently pays over $4,000 monthly to its existing vendor under a contract expiring in 2026.
