NH HAMPTON FALLS — Hampton Falls selectmen trim budget, oppose state tax bill. The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to reduce the operating budget by $15,000 to $3,566,083 and sent opposition to HB 1474, which could cut the town's annual Meals & Rooms Tax revenue from approximately $240,000 to $120,000. Vice-Chairman Edward B.
Beattie expressed concerns with the state's SB2 governance system for municipal affairs. The selectmen also authorized Town Administrator Rachel D. Webb and Road Agent Russ Hilliard to explore applying for a $5,000 grant from NH The Beautiful for a storage container at the Brush Dump, with an application deadline of May 7.
